Job summary

You will create and process orders in SAP ByDesign, manage supplier onboarding, and collaborate with QA, logistics and finance to optimize purchasing.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 0–1 year related procurement experience and/or training.
• Familiarity with supplier onboarding and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and receive purchase orders for inventory and consumables in SAP ByDesign, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor and track order status, proactively addressing delays to ensure on-time delivery.
• Create and maintain item records in the ERP system including codes, descriptions, costs and lead times.
• Monitor stock levels by tracking sales and availability to determine optimal stock; reconcile discrepancies and update ERP with adjustments and transfers.
• Lead onboarding of new suppliers, including prequalification and setup, and ongoing relationship management.
• Work with Quality Assurance to perform periodic supplier evaluations for performance and quality.
• Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, product availability, and pricing.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains within purchasing.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure favorable terms across Calibre Scientific UK products.
• Collaborate with Customer Care, Quality Control and Logistics to ensure seamless purchasing operations.
• Support Finance with supplier invoice queries to ensure timely resolution.
