Job summary

Morgan Hunt is supporting a public sector organisation to recruit a Procurement Business Partner for a 12-month assignment. The role requires leading end-to-end tendering, managing contracts and supplier performance, and delivering value-for-money within government rules.

You will influence senior stakeholders, drive procurement improvements, and provide coaching to teams across spend areas while ensuring cost, risk and governance align with organisational priorities.

Qualifications

• Extensive public sector procurement experience including independent end-to-end tendering.
• Strong commercial capability and ability to deliver procurement outcomes with stakeholders.
• Contract and supplier relationship management across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multi-year procurement pipelines aligned with priorities and budgets.
• Provide expert procurement advice ensuring regulatory compliance and value-for-money.
• Manage end-to-end procurement including tendering, contract awards, spend forecasting, and reporting.
• Lead contract governance and supplier performance management across contracts.
• Support the implementation of commercial systems and supplier relationship frameworks.
• Influence senior stakeholders and collaborate with finance, risk and planning teams.
• Conduct commercial and financial analysis to identify risks and drive efficiencies.
• Provide leadership and coaching to colleagues and stakeholders.
