Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end tendering processes.
• Proven contract management experience, preferably in public sector or regulated env.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and regulations.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience; CIPS preferred or willingness to pursue Chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and tendering activity from start to finish.
• Develop and manage commercial and supplier contracts.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Establish KPIs and monitor supplier performance.
• Manage contract variations, reviews and commercial improvements.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and legal partners.
• Support supplier rationalisation and supply-chain development.
• Improve procurement processes, systems and commercial practices.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and development as required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Leading strategic sourcing and tendering activity from end to end
• Developing and managing commercial and supplier contracts
• Driving compliance with procurement policies and procedures
• Establishing meaningful KPIs and supplier performance measures
• Managing contract variations, reviews and commercial improvements
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and legal partners
• Supporting supplier rationalisation and supply-chain development
• Improving procurement processes, systems and commercial practices
• Providing leadership, mentoring and development where required

Essential Experience:

• Strong experience managing the full tendering process
• Proven commercial contract management experience, ideally within the public sector or regulated environment
• Practical knowledge of procurement processes and regulations
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
• CIPS qualification, or willingness to work towards Chartered status
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Excellent analytical, communication and IT skills
• Experience in legal contract management would be advantageous
