Kier Group plc seeks an Estimator to join our Strategic Projects Construction team, supporting major projects nationwide. Location: Flexible with occasional site or regional office visits.

You will estimate costs, prepare tenders, negotiate with suppliers, and build relationships with customers and subcontractors. Proficiency in Excel and estimating software and a track record in a Main Contractor environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Main Contractor company.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software.
• Able to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Strong cost estimation and tender preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support tender generation by estimating costs and resources.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to maximise profit.
• Coordinate with design, planning and commercial teams.
• Provide regular reports and forecasts to support decisions.
• Travel to sites or regional offices as needed.
