Job summary

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority is seeking a fully qualified Project and Strategic Accountant to join the Finance & IT team. You will support the development and delivery of emerging projects, shaping robust financial processes and providing strategic financial insight to support decision-making at the highest levels.

You will work closely with Directors, the CFO and CEO, manage risk, and advise budget holders and project managers on funding bids across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• Qualified CCAB/CIPFA accountant with practical experience in complex organisations.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
• Experience providing finance support to projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Articulate financial information to multidisciplinary teams clearly.
• Develop and implement financial processes and controls for new projects.
• Provide finance advice to budget holders and project managers.
• Assist with funding bids and government submissions.
