Job summary

Mercury in London is seeking a Project Director to lead complex engineering and construction projects, chairing weekly meetings, driving digital planning and ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget delivery. You will guide cross-functional teams and interface with the client at executive level.

The role requires 10+ years of large-project experience, strong leadership, and a clear focus on QA/QC, EHS and BIM/digital delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years’ experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
• Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the project team to deliver on time, on budget and to quality.
• Chair weekly meetings with the design team and client, driving actions and recovery where needed.
• Ensure Mercury procedures, BIM and digital delivery are followed and dashboards used.
• Develop and maintain executive-level client relationships and manage risk and delivery performance.
• Provide leadership across project functions including Construction, Commercial, Planning, Design, QA/QC and EHS.
