Job summary

Mercury GmbH in London seeks an experienced design coordinator to oversee delivery of complex engineering projects. You will manage scope, lead a multidisciplinary design team, and coordinate with clients, consultants and insurers to ensure milestones are met.

The role requires an electrical engineering background and solid BIM experience, with 5–7 years in large industrial construction, pharma or data centre environments. Strong organizational skills and presentation quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in datacentre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or large industrial construction.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Project management across all design phases (design fees time / cost management).
• Proven experience leading teams of engineers and direct reports.
• Experience working in a BIM environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Design Delivery Schedule with client, Project Manager, design team and consultants.
• Develop scope-of-work and deliverables list for each discipline.
• Negotiate scope, deliverables and price with consulting firms.
• Procure the design from a consultant partner from tender to appointment.
• Assist Project Manager in tracking design and cost issues.
• Lead design team to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Collaborate on design issues and research projects with team.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, consultants and architects.
