Job summary

The Church of England's Diocese of Chichester in Sussex seeks a strategic leader to guide our growth-focused programme portfolio. You will work with the Diocesan Secretary, Bishops and senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into tangible, measurable plans and outcomes.

Overseeing a multi-million pound budget, you will lead a diverse team and manage relationships with parishes, clergy, diocesan boards and national partners to enable churches and communities to flourish and grow.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large, complex programmes with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into practical plans with measurable outcomes.
• Proven budget management and performance oversight in a large organisation.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Wise leadership with the ability to inspire others in a faith-based context.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and development of the diocese's strategic programmes and projects.
• Translate priorities into achievable plans and measurable outcomes with senior leaders.
• Oversee governance, performance reporting, risk management and evaluation.
• Develop the Strategic Programmes team and collaborate with parishes, clergy and boards.
