Job summary

The Diocese of Chichester is recruiting a Parish Development Officer based in Hove. This full-time role involves supporting churches in mission and ministry while encouraging their growth and renewal.

As a key member of the Parish Support Team, you will work closely with clergy and parish leadership to develop strategies and facilitate church development. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, mentoring experience, and a commitment to being a practising Christian.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading a church into growth and implementing Mission Action Plans.
• Experience of training, facilitation or mentoring individuals and groups.
• Confidence working with clergy, PCCs and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop vision, strategy and Mission Action Plans with parishes.
• Facilitate PCC away days and group discernment.
• Support churches in mission and ministry collaboration.
• Provide support around leadership and team dynamics.
