Job summary

Vectis Recruitment is seeking a Programme Manager for a global engineering group supplying Aerospace, Defence and High Tech sectors. You will own end-to-end customer programmes from contract to delivery, leading cross-functional teams and maintaining critical paths.

You will establish governance, manage schedules, risks and customers, work with OEMs/Tier 1s, drive on-time delivery and recovery plans for delays in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defence or other highly regulated manufacturing.
• Experience managing complex programmes from development through to production.
• Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 customers.
• Demonstrable ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, engineering and supply-chain processes.
• Experience managing customer requirements, schedules, risks and issues.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Project Management qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand requirements, obligations and objectives.
• Establish programme governance and reporting structures.
• Ensure actions are defined, owned and closed within timescales.
• Set objectives, milestones, deliverables and governance.
• Lead regular customer programme reviews and performance meetings.
• Own the customer-facing programme schedule.
• Collaborate with production & supply chain to understand demand.
• Monitor OTD and programme milestone performance.
• Identify risks before they impact the customer and lead recovery plans.
• Maintain visibility of the critical path from demand to delivery.
