Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Programme Manager for a defence and aerospace client in Coatbridge, Scotland. You will lead multiple programmes from initiation to completion, coordinating engineering, operations and other teams to deliver to customer requirements, budgets and timescales.

Reporting to the Site Director, you will manage risks, maintain strong customer relationships, and contribute to annual order intake and sales objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline.
• At least five years' relevant experience in programme, project or business management, including successful delivery of complex programmes.
• Experience working within a product design and manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage with senior stakeholders.
• Strong programme planning, budgeting, resource management and risk management skills.
• Understanding of financial performance, commercial commitments and contract law.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems and make informed decisions.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing others.
• A formal business qualification.
• Experience within defence, aerospace or a related technical manufacturing sector.
• Experience developing customer accounts and identifying further business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver programmes within a product design and manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate engineering, operations and other teams to meet customer requirements, budgets and timescales.
• Act as a key customer interface, manage expectations and progress.
• Develop and maintain programme plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Support business development through existing and prospective customer relationships.
• Lead programme reviews and provide reporting on milestones and financial performance.
• Improve programme management processes and support business changes.
