Job summary

The Crown Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited's Botcherby Plant in Carlisle is seeking a Production Planner to join a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday. You will develop detailed production plans balancing demand, capacity and material availability to optimise throughput and minimise waste.

Working with cross-functional teams across EMEA, you will monitor inventory, manage ERP/MRP scheduling, address bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement while ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in production planning or scheduling in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, Exports, and Supply Chain teams.
• Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory, and manage material requirements in ERP/MRP.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and efficiency.
