Job summary

CROWN Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited is seeking a Production Planner for our Botcherby Plant in Carlisle. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, supporting 24/7 operations and ensuring on-time manufacturing and delivery while minimising waste.

The successful candidate will manage detailed production schedules, coordinate with Sales, Production, Procurement, Exports, and Supply Chain teams, and optimise planning accuracy across the EMEA region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to work across levels.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Procurement, Exports, and Supply Chain teams across the region.
• Monitor material availability, identify shortages or excess stock, and manage countermeasures.
• Own production orders, material requirements, and inventory transactions in ERP/MRP systems.
• Review performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
