Job summary

IES Utilities Group is seeking a Procurement Officer based at Levenshulme HO to support sourcing and purchasing for multi-discipline projects across the UK. You will work with Project Managers, site teams, and finance to align procurement with programme needs and budget.

Responsibilities include obtaining quotations, negotiating terms, raising POs, and maintaining supplier records while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Procurement Officer, Buyer or in a Supply Chain role.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience obtaining quotations and managing purchase orders.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Source materials, plant, equipment and subcontract services in line with project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and service agreements to achieve best value.
• Raise purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, reliability and delivery times.
• Develop relationships with existing and new suppliers.
