Job summary

IES Utilities Group is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer in the Manchester area to source, purchase and manage materials, plant, equipment and services for project delivery. You will work with Project Managers, Site Teams and Finance to ensure timely, compliant procurement that supports cost control and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience as Procurement Officer, Buyer or in a Supply Chain role.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience obtaining quotations and managing purchase orders.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Construct IT system is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Source materials, plant, equipment and subcontract services in line with project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and service agreements to achieve best value.
• Raise purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery times.
• Support relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Assist project teams in planning procurement activities for upcoming works.
