Job summary

West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is recruiting a Procurement Officer to join the Commercial Team in Bristol. The role supports the Mayor’s priorities by ensuring procurement activity is efficient, compliant and delivers commercial value.

You’ll develop and deliver procurement plans from concept to delivery, manage RFQs, and provide operational contract management and stakeholder support. Hybrid working with a strong focus on value for money.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a procurement role.
• Exposure to professional services/consultancy categories.
• Understanding of government procurement frameworks.
• Working towards CIPS qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of procurement requirements from initial concept through to delivery.
• Publish and manage RFQs via the electronic tendering system.
• Maintain the Procurement Work Plan and Contracts Register.
• Support development and delivery of procurement training and presentations.
• Facilitate compliance with Contract Standing Orders and Public Contract Regulations.
• Define requirements, timelines, routes to market and evaluation criteria.
