Job summary

GMCA is seeking a Procurement Support Officer to join the Procurement & Commercial Services Team in Manchester. This hybrid role supports the delivery of strategic procurement activity, ensuring compliant and efficient processes across the organisation.

The post is temporary until 14 May 2027, offering a salary of £31,015 to £39,481 for 36.25 hours per week and a focus on proactive business partnering within local government procurement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of providing administrative support in a Local government environment.
• A record of successful achievements in procurement and contract management.
• Strongly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and proven ability to inspire confidence at all levels of the organisation.
• Motivated with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience of analysing and interpreting complex information and communicating it to stakeholders.
