Placements24 client in Randburg is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to manage supplier sourcing, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-efficient purchasing. The role combines office collaboration with remote work flexibility in a hybrid setup.

You will drive procurement operations, negotiate terms, and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with policies and ethical standards. 3+ years of experience and a relevant degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years in procurement or purchasing.
• Proven negotiation and supplier relationship management experience.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for a hybrid role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers; negotiate terms and pricing for best value.
• Manage day-to-day procurement activities, including creating and processing purchase orders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers; monitor performance and address issues.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure competitive pricing.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement support.
