Job Description

The Role

• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
• Act as the strategic lead for procurement and contract management activities.
• Provide expert procurement advice and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Drive value-for-money initiatives, including savings and social value outcomes.
• Report to senior stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team and Audit & Risk Committee.
• Develop and oversee a procurement workplan ensuring timely tendering, contract oversight, and policy adherence.

Candidate Profile

We seek a motivated procurement professional who:

• Holds a relevant professional qualification (e.g., MCIPS, CIPS) or has significant leadership experience.
• Is knowledgeable about current procurement regulations (PA23).
• Possesses strong commercial, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
• Has experience in procurement best practices and contract management systems.
• Is passionate about delivering public value and operational efficiency.
