Job summary

PA Media in Leeds is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead a six-person team and transform the Group procurement function. You will shape strategy, drive commercial value, partner with senior leaders and own the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process, with a strong emphasis on technology procurement and SAP S/4HANA.

You will report to the CFO and work in a hybrid role from Leeds with travel to London as required.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement and commercial leadership experience.
• Track record in transforming procurement to be commercially focused and value-driven.
• Strong technology procurement experience and ability to partner with Tech leaders.
• Evidence of delivering measurable value via strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Commercial judgment to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading and developing a high-performing procurement team.
• Understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay and process improvements.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, workflow automation and e-invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Procurement team into a commercially focused partner.
• Develop and deliver a Group-wide procurement strategy aligned with priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders, challenging requirements, spend and supplier decisions.
• Lead strategic procurement across key spend areas, delivering savings and working capital improvements.
• Strengthen supplier relationship management, contract management and sourcing.
• Improve visibility and control of third-party spend and risk.
• Own end-to-end global Procure-to-Pay process, driving simplification and controls.
• Build cross-functional relationships across Procurement, Finance, Technology and ops.
• Oversee corporate insurance renewal and Group travel arrangements.
