Job summary

POLYPipe Limited is seeking a Procurement Specialist to drive strategic procurement across direct and indirect categories. You will lead supplier evaluations, negotiate terms, and develop category strategies to unlock cost savings and supply continuity.

The role requires proven procurement experience, CIPS membership (or equivalent), and strong stakeholder engagement. A hybrid working pattern and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Strategic Procurement.
• Strong negotiator who leads commercial and contractual negotiations.
• Experience creating and implementing Category plans.
• Well-developed influencing skills.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and industry regulations.
• Strategic thinker with drive to succeed.
• Proficient with Excel/Word; IFS experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to SLT and above.

Responsibilities

• Follow the procurement process for a defined list of local suppliers, including negotiations and onboarding.
• Create and implement procurement strategies for defined categories.
• Identify and deliver annual savings to meet targets.
• Meet cash conversion targets through improved supplier payment terms.
• De-risk supply chain and ensure continuity via supplier contracts.
• Collaborate with group procurement on policy, compliance and processes.
• Support centrally sourced products/services with project implementation.
