Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead preconstruction activities across the Business Unit and Sector. You will drive opportunity management, resource planning and bid delivery while aligning with BAM's strategy and standards.

This key leadership role provides direction to multidisciplinary teams, develops the preconstruction pipeline and strengthens client relationships to deliver sustainable growth. Based at our Kilsyth or Inverness hubs.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management)
• Significant experience in preconstruction, bid management, estimating or work-winning in construction/infrastructure
• Strong understanding of construction procurement routes, commercial principles and tendering processes
• Experience leading and developing teams within the built environment
• Well-developed analytical, oral and presentation/communication skills
• Professional membership (e.g. CIOB, RICS, ICE, APM) desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preconstruction activities across the Business Unit and Sector
• Drive opportunity management, resource planning and bid delivery in alignment with strategic objectives
• Oversee development of preconstruction solutions and build a robust bid pipeline
• Provide direction to multidisciplinary teams and support bid managers to deliver winning submissions
• Source specialist bid resources from the central Preconstruction Team as needed
• Represent the Business Unit at Segment Preconstruction meetings and liaise with Estimating on market trends and risk
