Job summary

The Animal and Plant Health Agency is seeking a PMO Manager to lead a large, complex programme. You will establish governance, reporting and assurance, ensuring delivery stays aligned with priorities and outcomes.

Working with senior leaders and stakeholders, you will develop the PMO team, provide planning, risk management and benefits realisation support to drive delivery and value for Defra priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO function and its team, setting standards and priorities across the programme.
• Establish and improve controls for plans, milestones, risks and reporting.
• Maintain governance and coordinate assurance including reviews.
• Oversee integrated plans, dashboards and progress reporting to senior leaders.
• Set standards for risk, issue and dependency management and escalation.
• Support business cases, approvals and tracking of benefits and investments.
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts and resources with finance and delivery teams.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to enable delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes and reporting.
• Provide delivery support to turn strategy into outcomes with pace and quality.
