Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Programme Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead a large APHA programme from business case through delivery and benefits realisation. The role focuses on governance, reporting and evidence for timely decisions.

You'll develop the PMO team, provide insight to senior leaders, and ensure alignment with Defra Group priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes, pace and quality.

• Lead the PMO function and develop its team.
• Establish controls for plans, milestones, risks and reporting.
• Governance and assurance, including reviews.
• Oversee integrated plans and dashboards for senior leaders.
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies and link to decisions.
• Support business cases, benefits and approvals.
• Coordinate budgets and resources with finance and delivery teams.
