Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Planning & Strategy Lead in Cambridge. The role partners with senior leaders to translate priorities into actionable plans, governance, and measurable outcomes.

You will drive Core English Strategy, lead annual planning, deliver strategic analysis, and develop reports and dashboards. This is a hybrid role with 40-60% time in the office, reflecting flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in strategy, business planning, portfolio management, transformation, business performance, or related discipline.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in a complex, matrix organisation.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret, synthesize and communicate complex information.
• Experience developing strategic recommendations, business cases, or performance reporting.
• Strong facilitation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to challenge constructively and support effective decision-making through evidence and insight.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering outcomes through others.
• Advanced presentation and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead core English Strategy components and North Star review.
• Drive operational delivery of the annual business planning cycle.
• Lead strategic analysis, performance monitoring, and insight generation.
• Develop and present reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
• Partner with English leaders to identify opportunities, risks and dependencies.
• Support governance forums with evidence-based recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning, governance and performance management.
• Influence decision-making through analysis and constructive challenge.
