Job summary

London University is seeking a Head of Planning and Performance to lead the group’s business intelligence and planning functions. The role focuses on embedding an insight-led approach to performance, supporting evidence-based decisions and improving planning across the University’s Strategy 2030 framework.

The post requires 3 days on-site in London per week, with some flexibility. You will manage a small team and work with senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality MI and strategic insights.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading planning or BI within a Higher Education environment.
• Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights for strategy and planning.
• Experience managing a high-performing team and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead KPI reporting and insights across multiple levels within the Group.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using PowerBI; ensure data quality.
• Foster a user-centered culture for dashboards and MI; build stakeholder relationships.
• Lead annual business planning and coordinate with senior leadership.
• Conduct performance deep-dives to identify drivers and improvement areas.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, league tables and external data returns.
• Line-manage a small team (about 6 people) and represent the Director in meetings.
