Job summary

SSEN Transmission is hiring a Planner to support the Business Development PMO Planning and Portfolio Intelligence, developing and maintaining integrated schedules with Primavera P6 for our future investment portfolio. You will provide progress insights, identify risks and enable timely decision-making across programmes.

This permanent, full-time role is based in Scotland with 50% of the week in the office (Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen).

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling or project controls within infrastructure, utilities or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 including schedule development, critical path analysis and dependencies.
• Experience supporting multiple programmes/portfolios with governance and investment lifecycles.
• Excellent reporting and data presentation skills using Microsoft 365; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage high-quality, integrated schedules for strategic programmes and early-stage opportunities.
• Use Primavera P6 to build, update and analyse plans, highlighting milestones, dependencies, risks and impacts.
• Collaborate with programme and project teams to create realistic, aligned programmes across departments.
• Review, challenge and improve schedules to provide a reliable basis for planning and decision-making.
• Provide clear reporting and planning insight to help leaders monitor performance and act on issues.
