Job summary

SSEN Transmission is recruiting Planners to join the Business Development PMO Planning and Portfolio Intelligence team. You will provide practical planning and scheduling support across our future investment portfolio, including programmes such as SSEP and CSNP, and early‑stage opportunities progressing to formal project development.

You will use Primavera P6 to develop and maintain integrated schedules, report progress and risks, and collaborate with programme managers and specialist teams to

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling or project controls within infrastructure, engineering, utilities or regulated environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, including schedule development, critical path analysis, milestones, dependencies and programme logic.
• Experience supporting multiple programmes, portfolios or early-stage investment opportunities with governance frameworks.
• Excellent reporting and data presentation skills, using Microsoft 365; knowledge of Power BI or related tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage high‑quality, integrated schedules for strategic programmes and early‑stage investment opportunities as they progress towards formal project development.
• Use Primavera P6 to build, update and analyse plans, including milestones, dependencies and risks, and provide clear insights for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with programme and project managers, Network Development, Strategy, Asset Management, Regulation, Commercial and Investment Planning teams to create realistic, aligned programmes.
• Review, challenge and improve schedules to ensure logic‑driven, reliable baselines for planning and progress reporting.
• Provide clear reporting and planning insight to help leaders understand performance and identify actions to maintain progress.
