Gist Limited, part of the M&S Group, is seeking an experienced People Partner to join the Faversham depot on a 12-month fixed term basis.

You will partner with the General Manager to shape the People plan, lead recruitment, ER, performance and engagement, and work with Leaders across the site to drive continuous improvement in workforce effectiveness.

This site-based role offers a competitive salary and benefits package within a high‑activity logistics operation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a People Partner / HRBP across a generalist remit.
• Experience in logistics/retail/manufacturing is preferred.
• CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
• Some ad-hoc travel to other site locations will be required.

Responsabilités

• Partner with the General Manager to shape and deliver the People plan across the depot, using experience and data to guide decisions.
• Lead and coach your direct report, setting clear expectations and maintaining a high standard of delivery as our service offer evolves this year.
• Own delivery across the full People lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, talent / performance management, colleague engagement, safety, learning and development initiatives.
• Through strong ER experience, you’ll support line managers with employment law guidance and early interventions.
• Strengthen leadership capability, succession and workforce planning to meet M&S Food growth ambitions.
• Build and maintain positive industrial relations with Trade Union reps and support annual pay discussions.
• Collaborate with People colleagues and Centres of Excellence to ensure a consistent colleague experience.
• Maintain accurate people data for the site to support decision-making.
