Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority is seeking a People Business Partner to support senior leaders in translating priorities into people plans across a complex organisation. You will be a strategic advisor, using data and insight to shape response and drive inclusive, high-performing teams.

Based in Birmingham, the role is a 24-month fixed-term contract, requiring CIPD Level 5 and an active track record of influencing change, coaching managers and guiding employment relations and HR policy across

Qualifications

Proven experience in a strategic HR or people partnering role within a complex organisation.
Evidence of supporting organisational change processes and using data to inform decisions.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with a consultative approach.

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic people partner to senior leadership teams.
Translate directorate goals into people priorities aligned with strategy and values.
Support organisational change through engagement, communication and planning.
Use workforce data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
Coach managers to develop confidence and capability in people management.
Advise on policy interpretation and involvement in people governance activities.
