Job summary

GTC Recruitment Ltd in London seeks a People Strategy Advisor to support workforce planning, HR operations and strategic people initiatives in a complex environment.

The role requires Civil Service HR experience, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to communicate sensitive information clearly while driving process improvements. Based at Whitehall with hybrid working after an initial onsite induction.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil service HR with workforce management.
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and L&D policies.
• Experience supporting workforce planning and strategic initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and engagement.
• Ability to communicate sensitive information clearly.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Ability to produce accurate workforce reports.
• Experience in public sector or similarly structured organisations.
• Defence-related familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support on HR policies, procedures and workforce management practices.
• Support workforce planning, people operations and strategic people initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across all levels, including senior leadership.
• Communicate complex and sensitive topics professionally, clearly and appropriately.
• Provide accurate, evidence-based advice and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Support organisational change and people-related projects.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency and enhance ways of working.
• Assist with workforce reporting and management information to support strategic planning.
• Produce high-quality written communications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Adapt to changing priorities and provide flexible support in line with business needs.
