Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Payroll, Finance & Compliance Coordinator to join our Watford team (WD24). The role offers up to £35,000 annually and involves end-to-end contractor payroll, AR management, compliance checks and system support.

You’ll use Excel and Xero daily, chase POs, and maintain accurate records while ensuring IR35 compliance in a fast-moving engineering recruitment environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with payroll systems.
• Organised and proactive with a keen eye for detail and deadlines.
• Clear communicator able to chase clients and coordinate with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Payroll: end-to-end weekly contractor payroll, timesheets, invoicing, and data entry in Xero.
• Accounts receivable: manage AR ledger, credit control, and cashflow input.
• Compliance: Right to Work checks, document storage, IR35 considerations.
• Systems & support: maintain Bullhorn/internals and assist the Director as needed.
