Job summary

Synergi Recruitment in Watford is seeking a Payroll, Finance & Compliance Coordinator to own contractor payroll weekly, manage AR, and ensure compliance.

You'll work with Bullhorn, Xero, and internal systems, liaising with clients to chase POs and payments, and ensure IR35 readiness.

This role offers a hands-on, varied workload in a growing engineering and manufacturing recruitment environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and hands-on experience with Xero or similar.
• Genuinely organised – you notice discrepancies before they become problems.
• Clear communicator, especially when chasing POs and payments.
• If you've worked in contractor payroll or recruitment finance, that's helpful.

Responsibilities

• Payroll end-to-end weekly processing; timesheets, invoicing, and data loading.
• AR ledger ownership: credit control, chasing overdue invoices, forecasting.
• Ensure Right to Work checks and compliance documentation.
• Maintain Bullhorn and internal systems; support for the Director.
• Balanced workload across payroll, compliance and finance projects.
