Job summary

Dyson Institute, based at Dyson's Malmesbury campus, seeks a qualified or part-qualified Patent Attorney to manage IP risks, advise on freedom-to-operate matters, and coordinate global patent prosecution. You will work closely with Research, Design and Development to protect Dyson’s innovations and support the Litigation team when needed.

The role requires clear communication of IP concepts to non-IP colleagues, strong collaboration, and a proactive approach to developing areas of responsibility

Qualifications

• Identifying and managing IP risks and opportunities for new projects.
• Advising on freedom-to-operate searches and challenging third-party rights.
• Engaging outside counsel for patent drafting activities.
• Prosecuting patent applications globally to secure strategic patents.

Responsibilities

• Support the Litigation team with IP disputes and enforcement.
• Communicate IP matters clearly to non-IP colleagues.
• Collaborate with RDD and other groups to protect Dyson's innovations.
