Job summary

Invest Manchester is seeking a Head of Strategic Partnerships to develop high-value partnerships, engage senior stakeholders and promote Greater Manchester's inward investment opportunities. You will lead a high-performing team, represent the city-region nationally and internationally, and drive economic growth through strategic collaboration.

The role involves travel within Greater Manchester and occasional international travel, with interviews planned in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience building strategic partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of economic development, inward investment or regional growth.
• Proven ability to engage and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading international engagement activities and trade missions.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Strategic Partnerships and International Engagement Strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, trade organisations, government agencies, embassies, consulates and business networks.
• Identify opportunities that generate investment and economic growth across the region.
• Lead investor engagements, international delegations and ministerial visits.
• Oversee partnership initiatives and networks.
• Use market intelligence to shape strategy and inform decisions.
• Provide reporting to senior leaders on outcomes and priorities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing Partnerships team.
