Job summary

Halo Leisure is seeking a Deputy Partnership Manager for Bridgend Life Centre, a role that combines direct operational leadership with strategic support for partnership initiatives. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive financial performance and customer service standards, and deputise for the Partnership Manager in client relations and contract tracking.

You will supervise multiple centres and lead the Healthy Communities team, promoting inclusive health and wellbeing services as Halo

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnership Support: Deputise in client meetings, SMT presentations, and stakeholder engagement; support delivery of the Partnership Plan and Welsh Government initiatives (such as the Free Swimming Initiative and health improvement plans).
• Operational & Financial Performance: Take primary responsibility for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and commercial development of BLC. Maintain robust cost control procedures, manage complex budgets, monitor KPIs, and drive secondary spend (including Food & Beverage).
• Leadership & Development: Direct, manage, and mentor site customer service managers and operational staff. Oversee recruitment, training, appraisals, and actively promote FREDIE principles (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement).
• Quality Assurance & Health & Safety: Lead the implementation of internal quality management systems, achieve a minimum score of 80% across all operational audits, and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, and environmental regulations.
