Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions in Morpeth is seeking a Packaging Operations Manager to coordinate weekly shift operations across the Packaging group and collaborate with Engineering, HR and QA to optimise resource utilisation.

You will lead and develop the team, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with SHE and Quality Operations, and partner with other Production Managers on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in packaging or production management.
• Strong leadership with focus on development of staff.
• Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Clear communicational skills and collaborative mindset.
• Proficient in maintaining operational compliance and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly shift operations across the Packaging group and coordinate with Production, Engineering, HR and QA.
• Work with Production Managers on strategic initiatives and long-term planning, including facility changes and development projects.
• Lead staff development through robust training and appraisal processes; drive PMP-aligned development plans.
• Drive continuous improvement programs while ensuring SHE and Quality Operations compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality to maintain regulatory standards and implement corrective actions for deviations.
• Set and enforce performance standards; resolve operational issues with Packaging Administrator and Coordinator.
