Job summary

CarmichaelUK is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement & Supply Chain executive to shape and own the divisional strategy across infrastructure projects countrywide. You will influence senior stakeholders and manage multi-hundred million pounds of external spend, driving value, efficiency and sustainable procurement.

You will report to the Group Director of Procurement & Supply Chain and work within a high‑performing leadership team to deliver P&L improvements and organisational growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading supply chain delivery for large infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure procurement and supply chain operations.
• Experience delivering major programmes or procurement transformation.
• Proven leadership of complex supplier/vendor relationships.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience driving P&L and margin improvement.
• Extensive contract negotiation experience with modified NEC3/NEC4 subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver divisional P&S&C strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead management of £600m+ annual external spend, driving value and efficiency.
• Ensure supply chain capacity, capability, and resilience for current and future projects.
• Provide strategic direction to procurement and supply chain leadership across sectors.
• Develop and own Supplier Relationship Management strategy for the division.
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers, partners and client procurement teams.
• Drive procurement excellence, innovation, risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Champion sustainable procurement and Scope 3 emission reductions.
