Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a strategic operations leader to bridge Merchant Care and Merchant Configuration, translating complex challenges into clear narratives and identifying where AI can transform service delivery.

You will partner with Data, Product, and Process Architects to define an AI roadmap, measure impact, and shape headcount and investment decisions across global merchant operations. The role sits in our hybrid London/UK team with a focus on scalable, customer-centric improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in strategy, operations, consulting, business operations, or a Chief of Staff role.

Responsibilities

• Build business cases for structural and technology changes across Merchant Care and Config.
• Develop the strategic narrative for Merchant Operations from reactive to proactive, insight-led.
• Own the AI opportunity roadmap for Merchant Ops: LLMs, autonomous agents, automation.
• Evaluate AI vendor strategy and build the case for adoption across Care, Config, and self-serve journeys.
• Collaborate with Data and Product to translate requirements into AI product direction and metrics.
• Define how AI performance is measured and ensure delivery of service quality and efficiency.
