Grant Thornton UK LLP is building a high-impact Onboarding Client Experience team in Leeds. The new Onboarding Business Lead (KYC/CDD) acts as a trusted risk partner, guiding complex client take-ons while upholding regulatory obligations and delivering a smooth client experience.

The role focuses on KYC/CDD, evidence strategy, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure responsible, timely decisions in high-risk engagements. Flexible working arrangements are considered.

Qualifications

Substantial hands-on onboarding experience with KYC and CDD.
Experience advising and challenging senior stakeholders with diplomacy.
Strong written and verbal communication for client interactions.
Knowledge of UK financial crime obligations and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Act as concierge-style onboarding adviser for complex cases, owning end-to-end delivery.
Lead client outreach with senior representatives by phone, video, and written communication.
Advise Partners and Directors on evidence strategies, risk-based options and conflicts.
Write clear risk rationales to defend decisions to Partners or regulators.
