Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our Raunds site. You will deliver confidential OH clinics, support case management and rehabilitation, and maintain accurate medical records in a busy operation.

You’ll work with HR, SHE, and site teams to promote wellbeing and safe work practices. You will build trusted relationships, provide guidance to managers, and drive health surveillance initiatives while preserving confidentiality and professional standards

Qualifications

• A recognised Occupational Health qualification.
• Previous occupational health experience in a similar role or environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong case-management, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues and managers at all levels.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Experience of occupational hygiene monitoring or health surveillance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational health clinics and confidential one-to-one consultations.
• Support management of OH cases, including rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes.
• Prepare case information and follow recommendations from OH Physician or Lead OH Nurse.
• Support employee health surveillance and screening programmes.
• Identify health trends and escalate areas of concern appropriately.
• Maintain accurate, secure medical records and provide guidance to managers.
• Produce reports to identify demand, trends and further support needs.
