Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor for our Raunds site in Northamptonshire. This part-time role (30 hours/week) involves delivering confidential OH clinics, supporting rehabilitation and return-to-work, and coordinating health surveillance within a fast-paced operational environment.

You will work closely with HR, Safety, SHE, and site operations, building strong relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Recognised Occupational Health qualification required.
• Experience in occupational health within a similar role or environment.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel if required.
• Strong case-management, planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational health clinics and confidential one-to-one consultations.
• Support management of OH cases including rehabilitation and return-to-work.
• Prepare case information and follow recommendations from OH Physician or Lead OH Nurse.
• Support employee health surveillance and screening programmes and coordinate appointments.
• Identify health trends and workplace risks, escalating appropriately.
• Maintain accurate, secure medical records and provide guidance to managers and HR.
• Support employee health education, wellbeing activities and OH training.
