Job summary

Wessex NHS Procurement Limited is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and cost improvement initiatives across NHS contracts. The role focuses on driving value, quality, and efficiency within a multi-site environment.

You will manage a small team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to governance-compliant procurement decisions while supporting the wider NHS family in Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Level 6 MCIPS qualification (or suitable equivalent).
• Member of CIPS or appropriate professional body or relevant experience.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in procurement.
• Knowledge of professional purchasing principles and best practice.
• Experience managing large, complex procurement projects across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience with Public Contract Regulation procurements or related governance.
• Project management experience and capability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement strategic sourcing programme across allocated categories.
• Support CIP cost savings targets through spend analysis and strategy development.
• Maintain accurate management information reporting (workplan, CIP reporting).
• Ensure effective use of procurement systems and processes for efficiency.
• Deliver best value through contract management and supplier relationship strategies.
• Lead tenders and complex strategic procurement projects.
