Wessex Procurement Limited (WPL) is offering a Senior Buyer position based at Royal South Hants Hospital, with potential work from Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. You will manage a team of Buyers across UHS & HHFT, driving cost improvement and ensuring best value through compliant procurement processes.

The role involves training, supplier negotiation, catalogue management, and close collaboration with NHS stakeholders to deliver procurement strategy and savings.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a procurement team to deliver value and CIP benefits.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management across NHS partners.
• Experience applying procurement policies and procedures to achieve best value.
• Capability to train and develop staff in procurement processes.
• Experience of supplier sourcing and catalogue management.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Operations team to deliver a customer-focused and efficient purchasing service.
• Oversee HR procedures for the team including attendance, performance and appraisals.
• Provide training on procedures and processes and keep policies up to date.
• Plan workload for the team to ensure requisitions are processed and catalogues reviewed.
• Monitor reports and ensure timely data for the line manager.
