Job summary

Skillful is seeking a Pricing Manager for a hybrid role based in Wolverhampton or Chatham. The role covers pricing across residential, buy‑to‑let and commercial lending brands, with a 12‑month FTC and a strong possibility of permanency.

You will own pricing decisions, influence market positioning, and lead pricing changes from proposal through to market launch, collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams. A proven track record in mortgage pricing is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mortgage pricing, including larger, more complex cases
• Proven cross-departmental delivery of product launches at pace
• Strong Excel skills and a detailed understanding of the UK mortgage market and its regulation

Responsibilities

• Reviewing market positioning on rate and criteria against the peer group
• Owning the pricing of complex, larger loan cases and making the call on how they should be structured
• Leading pricing changes from proposal through to sign off and market launch, working with Marketing, Sales, Key Accounts and New Product Development to get it right
• Producing the analysis that sits behind pricing papers and strategic recommendations
• Supporting the wider proposition, both for new business and retaining existing customers
• Coaching assistant PMs and product analysts in the team
