Skillful is partnering with a major UK bank to hire a pricing specialist for mortgage products. Based in Wolverhampton or Chatham, the role is hybrid with two days in the office; a 12-month FTC with a strong path to permanency.

You will own pricing recommendations, review market positioning, and lead pricing changes from proposal to launch across residential, buy-to-let and commercial lending. Collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and New Product Development is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mortgage pricing, including exposure to larger, more complex cases.
• Track record of working cross departmentally to deliver product launches at pace.
• Strong product data analysis and market competitor analysis skills, ideally used to support business cases.
• Experience taking pricing from inception through to sign off.
• Solid Excel skills and a detailed understanding of the UK mortgage market and its regulation.

Responsabilités

• Reviewing market positioning on rate and criteria against the peer group, and flagging where the business needs to move.
• Owning the pricing of complex, larger loan cases and making the call on how they should be structured.
• Leading pricing changes from proposal through to sign off and market launch, working with Marketing, Sales, Key Accounts and New Product Development to get it right.
• Producing the analysis that sits behind pricing papers and strategic recommendations.
• Supporting the wider proposition, both for new business and retaining existing customers.
• Coaching assistant PMs and product analysts in the team.
