Job summary

ABB UK is seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to lead end-to-end inventory planning, from requisition to customer invoice, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Hybrid role at the Stonehouse site with one day per week remote. You will set inventory parameters (safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes) and coordinate with operations buyers to ensure timely replenishment and efficient purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• Proven materials management and purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP).
• Proficient in Excel.
• Inventory management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Define inventory policies based on segmentation.
• Calculate and maintain inventory parameters: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time.
• Coordinate material planning with call-offs to convert requisitions to orders with operations buyers.
• Collaborate with buyers to optimize supplier on-time delivery, MOQs, quality, and lead times.
