Job summary

Portable Foods Manufacturing Company Limited seeks a highly organised Material Planner & Stock Controller to join our Planning Team in the UK. This role ensures timely availability of raw and packaging materials to meet production needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels and driving supplier performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Material Planning
• Strong SAP experience (essential)
• Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
• Strong numerical and analytical capability
• Effective communicator with ability to build relationships across all levels
• A team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in stock control processes and inventory management

Responsibilities

• Run and action SAP MRP messages (min three times per week)
• Execute daily reports to align deliveries with purchase orders
• Issue weekly supplier performance reports and track confirmations
• Liaise with suppliers on ordering and delivery schedules
• Review future orders and convert to purchase orders
• Collaborate with European Procurement on contracts and issues
• Maintain SAP data and material masters
• Manage ordering of raw materials, packaging and ad-hoc materials
• Ensure inventory levels stay within targets and identify reduction opportunities
• Conduct monthly audits of sensitive materials and manage ageing risks
• Manage obsolete materials, disposal and cost recovery
• Review slow-moving stock and take action
• Drive continuous improvement in material scheduling and warehouse processes
• Maintain communication with Inbound Logistics teams
• Complete monthly Supplier Performance Reviews
• Participate in supplier visits and audits
• Support cross-functional projects and team meetings
• Uphold high Safety, Environmental and Food Safety standards
• Provide cross-cover for Planning and Stock Control activities
