NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board is seeking a Band 6 Management Accountant in Maidstone. You will provide expert financial support across budgets, delivering timely management information, insightful analysis and robust financial control to help drive value for money.

You will partner with budget holders, maintain ledgers, produce ad-hoc reports, and contribute to external returns and budget planning.

Qualificações

• Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience
• CCAB part qualified or equivalent experience
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services
• Experience in communications and stakeholder management
• Experience of working in an accountancy role

Responsabilidades

• Ensure that financial information provided to others is accurate, timely and useful.
• Maintains, monitors and develops through the ledger, income and expenditure budgets.
• Produces ad-hoc reports and analysis as required and answers queries promptly and accurately.
• Prepares ad-hoc requests for invoices to be raised and ensures income is recorded accurately.
• Provides information to support the completion of annual financial and other external returns.
• Maintains the budget plan, reconciling it to the ledger in order to accurately illustrate budget movement.
• Assists with the preparation for budgetary meetings and may lead straightforward, routine meetings with budget holders.
• Writes and maintains procedures for own area of responsibility striving to improve them where appropriate.
• Actively supporting the ICB’s financial sustainability and delivery of statutory financial targets.
• Investigates variances on budgets and makes required budget or expenditure adjustments in accordance with established procedures and through engaging with budget holders.
• Assists in preparing information for business plans and for financial performance reporting as required.
