Job summary

Crest Nicholson in Tamworth is recruiting a Management Accountant to join our Midlands team based at the Tamworth Office. The role will manage the general ledger, MIS and budgeting processes in a fast-paced construction environment.

You will deliver weekly and monthly sales reports, assist in board and management packs, and support statutory and tax reporting with robust audit trails. A competitive salary, bonus scheme and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience using Coins would be advantageous.
• Professional qualifications: Part or Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in construction industry is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to learn quickly and work proactively with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Understanding legal property/conveyancing terminology would be advantageous.
• Ability to handle half year and year end reporting under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and MIS database to support reporting and budgeting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Assist in production of monthly Board Pack and Management Pack.
• Support statutory reporting packs and tax packs.
• Assist internal and external audit processes.
• Attend cost review meetings and manage forecast vs. budget with variance analysis.
• Calculate sales executive commissions and bonus payments.
• Prepare and post sales and cost of sales journals for plots closing in the month.
• Review accruals and prepayments with audit evidence.
• Support month end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
